Miksi juuri nämä viisi käytettyä sähköautoa myivät eniten Suomessa? / Why Did These Five Used EVs Lead Sales in Finland?
Viisi mallia kattoi noin 31 % käytettyjen sähköautojen myynnistä Suomessa. Tutustu kärkeen ja siihen, mitä aiemmat rekisteröinnit kertovat.

Suomeksi
Suomessa myytiin tammi–syyskuussa 2026 noin 38 500 käytettyä sähköautoa, 48 prosenttia enemmän kuin vuotta aiemmin. Viisi myydyintä mallia kattoivat yhteensä 11 976 autoa. Se on noin 31 prosenttia käytettyjen sähköautojen myynnistä.
Fonectan Alma Median datasta kokoamien tilastojen mukaan kärjessä olivat Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, Polestar 2, Škoda Enyaq ja Volkswagen ID.4. Myyntiluvut näyttävät, mitä malleja ostettiin eniten. Ne eivät kerro suoraan, miksi ostajat valitsivat juuri nämä autot. Aiemmat uusien autojen rekisteröinnit ja kärkiviisikon lähekkäiset tulokset antavat silti hyödyllistä taustaa. Fonectan yhteenveto käytettyjen autojen kaupasta
Kärki oli tiivis
Tesla Model 3 oli myydyin käytetty sähköauto 2 960 autolla. Tesla Model Y myi 2 400 kappaletta.

Fonectan tilasto kuvaa tammi–syyskuussa 2026 toteutunutta myyntiä. Se ei yksin ennusta tulevaa markkinakehitystä eikä kerro, kuinka moni ostaja valitsi tietyn auton tietyn ominaisuuden vuoksi.

In English
Around 38,500 used EVs were sold in Finland from January to September 2026, 48% more than during the same period a year earlier. The five best-selling models accounted for 11,976 cars, or about 31% of used EV sales.
Figures compiled by Fonecta from Alma Media data put the Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, Polestar 2, Škoda Enyaq and Volkswagen ID.4 at the top of the ranking. The sales figures show which models sold most. They do not directly explain why buyers chose them. Earlier new-car registrations and the close results among the five offer useful context. Fonecta’s summary of used vehicle sales
The leaders were closely grouped
The Tesla Model 3 led used EV sales with 2,960 cars sold. The Tesla Model Y followed with 2,400. The Polestar 2 was next with 2,359, just 41 cars behind the Model Y. Fourth and fifth place were close too. There were 2,147 Škoda Enyaqs sold and 2,110 Volkswagen ID.4s, a gap of 37 cars.

The top three accounted for about 20% of used EV sales. Adding the Enyaq and ID.4 brings the share to about 31%. The Model 3 was the clear leader, while the next four models were much closer in sales volume.
Previous new-car registrations provide context
Used sales are partly shaped by how many cars of a model were previously sold new. A larger number on the road can mean more examples entering the used market over time. This helps explain some of the top five’s positions, though it is not the only factor.
The Tesla Model Y was Finland’s most registered new EV in 2023. In 2025, it ranked fifth among all newly registered passenger car models. The Škoda Enyaq ranked sixth and the Volkswagen ID.4 eighth. Their strong positions in new-car registrations may help explain why they also feature prominently in the used market. Moottori’s review of 2023 EV model registrations · Autoalan Tiedotuskeskus 2025 registration statistics
The Model 3’s first place cannot be explained by the 2025 ranking in the same way, since it was not among the ten most registered passenger car models that year. The used EV sales figures include cars from different model years, however. Sales in earlier years and the resulting fleet may be more relevant context than a single year of new registrations.
The models represent different types of car
The top five include two Teslas, a Polestar and two models from the Volkswagen Group. Their body styles differ: the Model 3 is a saloon, the Polestar 2 a fastback, and the Model Y, Enyaq and ID.4 are SUVs. The leaders therefore include a mix of models and body styles.
The sales data cannot tell us whether a model’s popularity comes from its body style, price, availability, equipment or another factor. Confirming those reasons would require information collected from buyers. The sales figures show what happened, not why each customer bought a particular car.
What does the top five’s position tell us?
The top five’s 31% share shows that a substantial part of used EV sales was concentrated in a handful of models. At the same time, the small gaps between the Model Y and Polestar 2, and between the Enyaq and ID.4, show that positions in a sales ranking do not always indicate a large difference in demand.
Fonecta’s figures describe sales from January to September 2026. They do not, by themselves, predict future market trends or show that buyers chose a particular model for a specific feature.
